Dr. Kirchhofer

Jayson “Jay” Kirchhofer, DMD, MD joined Dr. Broumand at Desert Ridge Oral Surgery Institute following completion of his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Florida. Prior to residency, Dr. Kirchhofer obtained his BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, where he played four years of collegiate baseball. Following completion of his undergraduate degree, he was accepted into the Oregon Health and Sciences University, School of Dentistry, graduating in 2015. During his dental training, Dr. Kirchhofer was actively involved in community outreach programs including being the OHSU School of Dentistry student liaison for the “Mission of Mercy” in Portland, OR, as well as volunteering at the “Compassion Clinic” in Tigard, OR.

Immediately following completion of dental school, Dr. K moved to Gainesville, Florida to attend the University of Florida in pursuit of his dream of becoming an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He obtained his Medical degree from the University of Florida, College of Medicine as well as his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training.  While at the University of Florida, Dr. K had the privilege of training under Dr. Frank Dolwick, one of the world’s foremost experts in both TMJ and Orthognathic Surgery. He also received extensive training in dentoalveolar and implant surgery, benign pathology, craniomaxillofacial trauma, and maxillomandibular reconstruction.

Following completion of residency, Dr. Kirchhofer and his wife, Katelyn, moved to Arizona to settle down near family. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, following sports and golf, and attending Ballet Arizona performances where Katelyn is a professional ballerina.
